The $MELANIA token launched on 19 January 2025, two days after $TRUMP and one day before the inauguration. It is a separate token, on the same blockchain, promoted under Melania Trump’s name.
How it differs from $TRUMP
Both are Solana memecoins and neither claims to be an investment product. The differences are in scale and timing. $MELANIA arrived into a market that $TRUMP had already energised, and it has traded at a far smaller market capitalisation since.
The launch is also notable for its effect on $TRUMP. A second official token appearing within 48 hours divided attention and capital between two assets marketed from the same family — a dynamic several market commentators noted at the time.
What holders actually own
The same answer as $TRUMP: the token. No dividend, no equity, no governance right, no claim on any business. Anyone evaluating it should start from that fact rather than from the name attached to it.

The open questions
Members of Congress have raised questions about tokens issued in the name of a sitting president and first lady — covering disclosure, the identity of large holders, and whether foreign nationals can acquire a financial interest tied to a president’s family. Those questions are live and largely unresolved; we report them as questions, not findings.
