This is the index to our litigation coverage: the class actions, civil suits and enforcement actions involving Donald Trump, his companies and his administration — what was filed, what a court has actually decided, and what is still pending.
One rule governs every entry. A complaint asserts and a court finds, and we do not blur the two. Where a matter settled, we say whether liability was admitted.
Start here: the reference case
Trump University: the $25 million class action settlement is the clearest worked example of the pattern this site follows — consumer complaints became two federal class actions in the Southern District of California plus a New York enforcement action, and resolved together in a settlement that contained no admission of wrongdoing.

How to read a case on this site
- Filed means a complaint exists. It is an allegation, nothing more.
- Certified means a court agreed the case may proceed as a class. Most proposed class actions never get there.
- Settled means the parties resolved it. A settlement is not a finding of liability, and defendants routinely deny wrongdoing as an express term.
- Judgment means a court decided. That is the only one of the four that is a finding.
We do not tell readers they have a case, and we never state that money is owed to anyone. Where a settlement is real and open, we link to the official administrator.
